Communion — Where, When, How
Does the Bible specify a place or time to take Communion? Does the Bible instruct how often a person should take Communion? Nowhere in the Bible does it specifically teach about where, when or how often Communion should be taken. Neither does the Bible say that it must be served to you by a pastor or a priest. This makes perfect sense because your relationship with God is a very personal one.
Communion is a special time to reflect on what Jesus has done for you personally. While many enjoy receiving Communion in a church service, they also appreciate the ability to have a more private experience at home with family or alone wherever and whenever they choose. The main purpose of taking Communion is to remember and celebrate Jesus. As we approach this Easter season, daily or weekly Communion is one way to strengthen our relationship with God. Communion is the greatest expression of His love for us.
At Blessed Communion, we often have the opportunity to donate boxes of our prefilled Communion cups to individuals and groups. As an individual, will you consider sharing the joy of Communion this Easter season by donating a box of prefilled cups to missionaries, youth groups, senior care facilities, hospitals or others in your circle who might benefit from such a gift?
